Jorge Fernandes

Jorge Fernandes is the CEO of Mobibucks with responsibility for leading the way in the nascent mobile payment market. Prior to Mobibucks, Mr. Fernandes was co-founder, CEO and Chairman of ViVOtech, having conceived and demonstrated the initial products for PayPass and NFC. Previously Mr. Fernandes was president and founder of EmployeeLife (NASDAQ-ICGE), BioLumin (NASDAQ-MDYN), and LaserTron (NASDAQ-LZTN). He has authored over a dozen patents in the areas of payment technology, software algorythims, robotics, digital feedback, and laser systems. Mr. Fernandes received his BSEE from San Diego State University and MBA from Santa Clara University.

Thomas L. Recktenwald

Thomas L. Recktenwald is the President of Mobibucks. Before Tom joined Mobibucks in April of 2009, he was a co-founder of Stored Value Solutions and was named executive vice president and general manager in 1997. Prior to co-founding Stored Value Solutions, Tom worked in other senior level positions in the financial industry. From 1996 to 1997 he was a senior vice president, Acquirer Group with First Data Corporation. Prior to First Data Corporation, Tom served as president of NaBanco Acquiring Services. From 1980 to 1994 Tom functioned in various capacities with National Processing Company concluding with his position as president, Check Security Services. During the 1990’s Tom was also a member of the Visa and MasterCard Acquirer Operating Committees. Thomas acquired his B.S. in Finance from the University of Louisville.

David J. Barram

David Barram is the Chairman of Mobibucks and served as its CEO from 2006 to 2007. He was appointed by President Clinton as the Deputy Secretary and COO of the Department of Commerce and later appointed to head the U.S. General Services Administration. Before working for the government, Mr. Barram spent 23 years in Silicon Valley with Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics and Apple, serving as CFO for the latter two. He serves on the boards of Computer Sciences Corporation, Pope and Talbot, Velocity11, America’s Choice, and the non-profit National Center on Education and the Economy. Mr. Barram received his MBA from Santa Clara University and his BA from Wheaton College.

Ziad Alshobaki

Ziad Alshobaki is a Managing Director for the MENA and FAR EAST Region, in this role he is responsible for directing the business development activities for new ventures for Mobibucks. He will also develop a strong network of partners including investment partners, technology vendors, distribution partners, and system integrators and will leverage upon those alliances in order to meet and exceed the Mobibucks new ventures growth goals. He comesĀ  from SAP, where he served as Alliance and Channel Manager, He worked with qualified partners, assisting them to deliver key projects by introducing them to the wide-ranging portfolio of SAP business solutions. Prior to that he worked as Regional Sales Manager with IBM, selling consultancy and outsourcing services, e-Business Solutions. Ziad has extensive experience in channel and alliances management in the information technology sector as well as sales and business development. He completed his studies in the United States and holds a degree in Economics from University of Chicago.
